Riding the wave!

Well its sooooooo nice to not have to fix anymore or show the house anymore, just wait for closing!

We are riding this wave straight to our favorite island!  You know when somethings right and meant to be and this is it! So started packing, which is tough trying to pick things to take that are not too too heavy and cumbersome!  I am having the hardest time not taking my Le Cruset pans! I haven't told my husband yet but plan on taking my cast iron fry pan.  Do you think he will notice that in his carry on???

I have inquired with the group of expats on Isla called the Sisters of Perpetual Disorder! A bunch of lovely lady ex-pats that get together once a month and have a wine night and discuss all things Isla!

I got some good feedback on what they brought that they are so glad they did.  We are going to be bringing our cutlery and good knives and kitchen utensils that I love, like my micro planer! Is that one word or two...whatever I must have it to ZEST!

We have 30 days to figure it all out and get rid of the rest of our belongings.  We of course are better set for this as we had to clear most big stuff out for the house sale but you know how it is, I have been looking in drawers and seeing things I haven't seen in years!  What to do with it all?

I know give it away which we will but still there are personal items that probably no one would want.  We will get it sorted.  More importantly we need to take care of financials, medical insurance, forwarding mail, change of address..thats a thought what will my address be on Isla? Must ask Joe.

We have decided to sign up for one of those ex-pat mail services.  Its about $20 per month and they seperate the junk mail, scan things for you on line for you to review then you can just click on the stuff you want them to mail to you.

Another good thing they do is give you a US address so you can forward your US mail.  Also good is that you can buy things on line in the states, ship it to your new US address and then they ship it to you in Mexico.  Of course the only problem with that is getting to your house! I have heard that it is very hit and miss especially packages.  They either never arrive or take months.  That's Mexico and also we are on an island everything needs to come in by ferry and I am sure things get lost of stolen.

Whatever! I can't wait to have this problem!  Spoke to Joe today and they will be finishing off the ceiling of the second floor and then start next week on the inside! WOOHOO!
Just sent some more money...can't wait to see everything and can't wait to go shopping for furniture.

Ok here are some pics of the second floor going up up up!
