After Debby...

Missed something pretty spectacular on Isla today....

After many days of torrential rain, you have this!
The streets were flooded and the water was high....

Can't wait to get back!  I know I shouldn't wish for storms but I really can't wait to be in our new home and watch our first storm come in...not too big though...

Construction Permits are IN!

Joe, told me today the construction permits are approved and they will start immediately on the house!! WOOHOO!  He also said that the house should be ready by mid November!!!!!!!!

We needed a bit of good news to pick up our spirits as we are sick to death of getting this house ready for sale.  NEVER AGAIN!

Thats what you get when you have an old house I guess.  It will be more than fabulous to have a brand new home, new fixtures, new floors, new everything!

Scuse me now I have to go to another dance of joy! Whoopee!

Stay tuned for pics of the build!!!!!!!!!

June 15th Footings are going in!

Just got these from Joe and they have started! Woohoo! He has promised it will be ready for Xmas!!

We are about two weeks away from our house being ready for sale.  Workers are swarming around, painters, electricians, carpenters...like little bees everywhere...love it.  Of course its not happening fast enough for me and has been extremely stressfull with mess and dust.  I have following my husband around with a broom and then decided, forget it, its just going to get dirty again.

We should have a quick sale, our neighborhood is hot at the moment and not many houses for sale.  Our realtors are sure it will sell quickly.  We hope to return to Isla by the beginning of September.

We have such wonderful people following our blog that have taken pictures for us while they are on holiday on Isla.  We are looking forward to making new friends and seeing the locals again!

We miss it sooooooooo much!
